Londonderry is south of Manchester in Rockingham County. About 27,100 people on 42 square miles. The airport that serves Manchester sits on the town line. You will need a car.

On the state’s 2024 comparison rate, a $500,000 house is about $6,860 a year in property tax. The town’s posted rate is higher, and your bill can be different.

A typical house is worth about $505,000. If you rent, figure about $1,800. Household income is around $133,000. Broadband is common. There is zoning, so ask the town before you assume you can put a shop or a second house on the lot.

In 2024 they voted 8,435 to 7,655 for the Republican for president.

Who represents you

In Washington, the House seat is Chris Pappas (D), 1st District. Both U.S. senators, Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, are Democrats.

In Concord, the state senator is Sharon Carson (R). She is from Londonderry, and she is the Senate president. Liberty Alliance graded her B+ for 2026.

Londonderry’s own House seats are Rockingham 16. Seven seats, all Republican: Kristine Perez (C+), David Lundgren (C), Tom Dolan (C), Ron Dunn (A), Doug Thomas (A), Sherman Packard (the Speaker), and Wayne MacDonald (B+).

What’s nearby

If you need a city job, Manchester is about 19 minutes from the middle of town.

Those are map estimates with no traffic. Drive it yourself.

A rule that changed: shops before apartments

A Planned Unit Development is the big mixed project with housing and stores on one plan. For new ones, a good chunk of the shops has to go in before the apartments. Woodmont Commons and Technology Hill, the two already underway, stay on the old rules. The town council voted 3 to 2.

If you are buying a house

Ask the seller for the paper New Hampshire makes them give you. It covers radon, arsenic, lead, PFAS, and flood. Then look the lot up on FEMA’s flood map. Regular home insurance usually will not pay if the river comes up.
